An interview with our esteemed owner, Anne Gallagher Wolfe

Here at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, we would like to spotlight the woman behind our growing success as the first Hand and Stone franchises to be located in Maryland. Anne Gallagher Wolfe opened her first location in the Annapolis Harbour Center in January 2012, and has followed that with her recent opening in Park Plaza in Severna Park. Anne is dedicated to her role as a franchise owner to provide high quality massage and facial services that are Affordable and Convenient. Anne  frequently supports otherlocal small businesses as well as non-profit organization fundraising efforts in various ways such as donating auction items and providing complimentary chair massage. Anne has been receiving monthly massages for 35 years and loved the Hand and Stone Lifestyle Program model so much that she decided to leave the corporate world after 33 years and spend her days in a Spa. Doesn't that sound good??

March 2013 Client Spotlight

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spas of Maryland are exceedingly obliged to serve some of the best people we know; especially those who play a great and growing role in our community. We want to spotlight these great friends by doing monthly Client Profiles. These will focus not only on their favorite services and the benefits that keep them keep coming back, but also their roles in making the Annapolis and Severna Park communities a great place to call home.
Richie Petitbon

In March’s Client Spotlight, we will be featuring our long time friend and client, Richie Petitbon. If the last name sounds familiar, here’s why; Petitbon Alarm Company has equipped a great many local businesses and homes in an effort to keep business owners and citizens feeling safe and secure as they go about their days doing the things they love.

Mr. Petitbon takes time to come in for treatments four or more times a month, making him a friendly face to our resident spa associates and therapists. When asked what qualities of our spa keep him coming back again and again, he’s quick to respond, “Great people, skilled (and fantastic!) therapists, and a wonderful environment!” Primarily a massage enthusiast, he acknowledges that his services leave him with “more energy, better circulation, and less stress.”
Since Richie has seen a great number of our therapists, we were curious as to his opinion on preferences between female and male therapists, something we are respectful of here at Hand & Stone.
“I’ve never given it a lot of thought; they are all professionals and provide a high level of service, so I have no preference.”
We are humbled by Richie’s high opinion, and hope you will come visit us and put his assertions to the test. Who knows; maybe you’ll be the next face of our Client Spotlight?
You can find more information on Mr. Petitbon’s renowned alarm company and its role in our community here. They can also be found on Facebook. All quotes were obtained with our client’s enthusiastic consent.

Welcoming Severna Park to the Hand & Stone Family!

Ribbon Cutting by Owner Anne Wolfe at Severna Park, her second location in Maryland! (Courtesy of the Severna Park Voice)

In what can only be termed as "hot on the heels" of her first Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa opening, Anne Gallagher Wolfe recently opened her second franchise location of Hand & Stone in Severna Park Plaza MD- not even a year after Annapolis' opening in Harbour Center in January 2012.
To celebrate the opening in this exciting new location at 550-I Ritchie Highway, the Severna Park Chamber of Commerce organized a January 24th Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony which boasted several local politicians in attendance and numerous congratulatory Citations presented. The Grand Opening festivities included varied local fare, ranging from shrimp from the Annapolis Seafood Market to a massive fruit and cheese platter from Brian Boru, and even a honey ham from next door neighbors, Honey Baked Ham. The good food and great company was supplemented by complimentary chair massages provided by two of the talented Hand and Stone massage therapists.
Annapolis and Severna Park may be the only Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spas in Maryland so far, but Anne Gallagher Wolfe has imminent plans on her third MD opening. Columbia's Dobbin Center will be the next home to Hand and Stone's quality offerings of full relaxing body massages, rejuvinating facials, and breezy waxing services-- all of which are Affordable and Convenient.
